Signing up for eastmeeteast.com is apparently the easiest
way to meet tons of Asian Americans in your area who are looking for something serious, but I'll be the judge of
Asian dating sites have been popping up all over the place ever since the explosion of dating apps in the last six years. Many of them have turned out to be scams so in order to protect you from the harsh realities of the internet; I'll be doing an in-depth review of the site. Let's dive in.
Right off the bat; this site looks legit. This isn't some run down Asian ''meet and fuck' site that's going to
suck your bank account dry with hidden fees. It's a real dating site that seems to produce results.
The sign-up process is super easy. Either complete the sign-up process of your own or sign up with Facebook. Of course, this is a site for Asian people who want to meet other Asian people so during your sign-up process you'll have to specify your ethnicity.
Right after you sign up, you'll be able to start browsing thousands of profiles made by smoking hot Asian women in your area. I know it sounds like one of those bullshit porno banners, but I can assure you - they're authentic.
The site has a comfortable, kind of bubbly, vibe that makes you feel comfortable instantly. It's almost as if I've been searching for an Asian American smokeshow for years now - beautiful user interface as well.
From what I can tell, there aren't any fake profiles anywhere on this site. Even after looking through people's profiles for hours, I couldn't find a single one that didn't look legit.
One of the most impressive features East Meet East has to offer is the 'weekly matches' system. Not everybody has
the time to mindlessly browse thousands of profiles in the middle of the day, so this feature automatically
customizes and sorts your matches every week, so it's a little easier to digest. Pretty clever if you ask me.
This site is crazy customizable when it comes to searching for specifics. You can narrow down your matches to anything from Asian singles around the world to Asian American singles right in your backyard. You can even look for a match that arrived in a certain location in the U.S. or one that speaks a certain dialect of any certain language.
With the "Visits" feature, you can see exactly who checked you out. This really helps when you don't know if you should make the first move or not. Maybe some girl has checked out your profile more than once, but she's too scared to send that 'smile' your way. That's when you take your chance.
The community on east meets east is something else. I've seen my fair share of dating apps, and I can say that people on East meets East are a bit more friendly than the average dating site. With the ability to send someone a 'Smile,' it's easy to start flirting right out the gate.
Like all great things in this world, it's not free. Well, I mean it is, but you don't get unlimited messaging,
read receipts, or any of the fun quirks that come along with a full-blown membership.
You can try out a one-month subscription to the site for $34.99 if you aren't sure if you want to commit. The site says it takes about 4-6 months to find the perfect match for you, so I'm not sure if the one-month is even worth it.
The safest bet, in my opinion, would have to be the three-month subscription for one payment of $68.97 (or $22.99 per month). However, if you're committed to finding the perfect Asian woman for you, there's always the sixth-month payment plan. It's one payment of $107.94 (or 17.99 per month).
If you are busting at the seams for an Asian woman to cherish, then you should consider saving some money while you're at it. The one-year membership is coming in at $143.88 (just $11.99 per month).
Simply put; East Meets East is easy. Easy to set up, easy to navigate, easy to chat. Nothing turns me onto a
dating site more than a quality user interface. When you use this site, it's way too easy to get lost in the
rabbit hole of profile pictures and hilarious bios. You know it's a quality site when it's this addicting.
I don't know if it's just my yellow fever talking, but the girls on this site are hotter than pavement in June. I had a blast browsing hundreds of profiles from girls in my area, and I got a lot of attention after I put myself out there. It seems like there isn't anybody on this site whos too shy to say hello.
The membership costs are dirt cheap. As long as you select the year subscription, you're able to get some real bang for your buck. Most Asian dating apps I've tried out have led me on with promises of low membership costs, only to later reveal some sneaky hidden fees that ended up fucking over my bank account. There's none of that here. You just get what you pay for - kind of.
If there's anything to complain about when it comes to East Meet East, it's the lack of features. Just because
your membership fees are low, doesn't mean you should skimp on the features. Most other dating sites have some
creative little perk that draws people in and moves the business forward, but sadly East Meets East seems to be
just another dating site.
Another tragic issue on East Meets East is scammers. Every dating site experiences this. Some cute Asian girl from Japan hits you up, appeals to your desires then asks you for a little cash. She doesn't want a PayPal transfer. Just your card info. A sad tale that's much too common in the world of dating apps, but as long as there are suckers falling for it, nothing will change.
East Meets East is a site that caters to Asian Americans looking for love - or maybe something more. Either way,
this is a site that connects people.
After using the site thoroughly for a while, I've concluded that simply; it works. Is it worth the money though? Well if you're looking to meet cute Asian girls from the U.S. who share a similar culture or background as yourself, then I'd recommend the Gold membership. The Platinum version seems a little too... over the top (and expensive).
You get virtually the same features with the Gold version and it's not going to suck your bank account dry.
Anyways, I'd give eastmeeteast.com a solid 3/5 stars. The usability of the site and app are fantastic, but the membership pricing can cost you a lot of cheddar and there aren't a lot of special features to show for it. All in all - good not great.
